Chocolate and Tea Pairing. $50
Date: Saturday 10 March -Balmain - Sydney
Through this workshop, participants will experience flavours, aromas and textures of teas (white, green, oolongs, black and herbals) paired with delicious citrusy, fruity, floral nutty and earthly chocolates, a true sensory appreciation. This workshop will demonstrate how these two ancient and nutritious products complement, enhance and contrast each other. Tea and Chocolate are rich in anti-oxidants and they say to be anti-aging. All teas provide at the workshop are premium teas from natural farming. Liliana Algorry, Tea Sommelier, and Tea Blender will run the workshop.
Tea and Health - The Virtues of Tea $45
Date: Saturday 7 April - 10.30 am to 12.30pm - Balmain - Sydney - Australia
This 2 hr. Tea and Health workshop has been designed for you to understand the health benefits and virtues of tea. Participants will explore the family of teas from different world regions (White, Green, Oolongs, Black, and Pu-erh) and compare their properties and virtues. The workshop will help to understand how certain infusion conditions could give rise to significant differences in concentration of caffeine and antioxidants and variations on tea. Participants will be able to brew un-oxidized, partially oxidized, fully oxidized, and aged teas, profiles, and seasonality. You will also learn about matching tea with food, mood, and time of the day as well as tea cooking techniques. Fee includes tea, setting cups to be used during the workshop.
Discovering the World of Tea - Masterclass. $45
Date: Saturday 21 April - 10.30 am to 12.30pm - Balmain - Sydney - Australia
This 2 hr introductory hands-on tea masterclass, has been designed to enjoy the charming world of tea. Participants will learn about the tea plant, different types of natural farming loose leaf teas from different world regions (Black, White, Green, Oolongs, and Pu-erh). Participants will be able to experience a sensory appreciation of tea aromas, textures and flavours while understanding the importance of brewing techniques. This class is the perfect introduction for all; from beginners to those who wish to explore and deepen their knowledge into this ancient beverage. Liliana Algorry, tea sommelier, and blender will run the workshop.
Tea and French Pastries $50
Date: Saturday 5 May - Balmain - Sydney
This decadent workshop will delight participants taste buds. Discover what works, which teas combine nicely with each pastry. Participants will explore the perfect pairing of robust and light teas flavours and its perfect match. Participants will taste five teas (white, green, oolong, black and pu-erh). All teas are from natural farming gardens and pastries are made by a French Patissier. Liliana Algorry, Tea Sommelier, and Tea Blender will run the workshop.
Cheese and Tea Pairing. $50
Date: Saturday 26 May- 10.30am - 12.30pm
The pairing of cheese and tea creates a combination that enhances the aromas and flavours bringing out a new complex third flavour. In this workshop, you will experience flavours, aromas and textures of teas from different world regions (Green, Oolongs, Black, and Pu-erh) paired with cheeses from Spain, France, Holland, and Italy. All teas provided at the workshop-masterclass are premium teas from natural farming. Liliana Algorry, Tea Sommelier, and Tea Blender will run the workshop.
Learn the rituals of preparation and presentation of tea, while gaining an understanding of the inner spiritual content, respect, refinement, and similarities between different tea ceremonies across China "Gong Fu Cha", Taiwan "Cha Xi" and Japan "Cha-no-yu". The workshop will explore equipment, manners, elements, etiquette, aesthetic and tea within different cultures. Liliana Algorry Tea Sommelier and Blender will run this spiritual and uplifting 2 hrs workshop.
Tea and Art - Workshop
The relevance of TEA in the Western paintings compositions is a palpable pleasure a link between culture and art. Through this workshop you’ll learn: a) tea varieties, colours of tea, the relationship between leaves and water, odour (aromatic families), texture (astringency, oily, roundness), tasting terminology (dominant, fullness); b) pictorial representations of tea and its elements in Western Art (Baroque, Victorian Impressionists and Postimpressionists movements), capturing moments of reflection, loneliness, entertainment and sensual pleasure, certainly an element of socialization, congregation and discussion. This 2 hr hands-on blending workshop will push participants boundaries and explore their full sensory skills. The workshops focus on blending bases, flavour relationship, balance, visual appeal, inclusions, and ratios. Participants will create their own blend and take home their creation. Fee includes tea, spices, herbal, flowers, fruits and professional equipment. Liliana Algorry tea sommelier and tea blender will run the workshop.
Team Building - Promo – March –May 2018 - 38pp (minimum 12 participants)
Our Team Building events are fun and a learning experience at the same time groups will be divided into tasting teams, they will be trained to taste and score teas and will then compete in a blind tasting challenge.

The Tea Atelier can customise tastings and classes, for example a fun “Blending Workshop”. Minimum will be 8 participants starting at $45 per person. Venue of your choice, no travelling charge will occurs if the venue is located around 10-12km from the CBD- Sydney
